supervision OR consultation?
kristen hydes (rsw, ccc & canadian clinical supervisor) provides clinical supervision for therapists who are seeking mentorship and support in their practicum or internship, or working towards goals of registration for the ccpa or bcacc (among other organizations). this may include direct observation of sessions and evaluation of clinical skills.
for therapists who are already practicing in the field of counselling, she provides consultation and mentorship through an intersectional feminist lens that integrates internal family systems and narrative therapy in her approach. kristen also runs monthly group supervision, please email her directly to learn more or add yourself to the waitlist.
as a therapist i know first hand the experience of supervision, and am passionate to dismantle power structures between supervisor and supervisee. i honor all the parts of your lived experience that enhance your work as a therapist, and encourage you to care for yourself in the ways that are defined by YOU.
for those that I provide consultation and mentorship for, i know what it is like to start your own practice and feel overwhelm and imposter syndrome. i also understand what it is like to work 12+ years in this field and feel stuck. often when we feel stuck in our work with clients, we assume it means we need the new/fancy/expensive training and are not on par with our peers. often when we are feeling stuck in our work, it is connected to our own experience, and consultation can be a safe place to explore that together and feel less alone in the process.
if you are not wanting to carry this alone, i encourage you to reach out for a free consultation to learn more about my flavour of mentorship and support to see if it feels like a good fit. i also host (closed) monthly group supervision with a max of 6 participants for a cozy feel and you can reach out to me directly to learn more about that offer.
