paula is passionate about supporting BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, neurodivergent folks, and anyone navigating the weight of systemic harm, identity exploration, or burnout.

paula brings a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and intersectional feminist lens to her practice. paula works from a critical decolonial perspective and believes that real transformative healing can happen through the therapeutic relationship. paula believes that therapy should feel like an (accessible) safe space where your full self is welcomed and honored.

with lived experience as a black queer woman and the daughter of carribbean immigrants, paula understands what it is like to move through the world with layered identities. through her own experiences of navigating belonging, resilience and systemic barriers, paula arrives at the therapy space striving to create an environment where all of you can be here; even the parts that may be silenced or overlooked.

paula recognizes that healing requires connection and works from a relational, narrative and a somatic lens. these lenses integrate both the mind and the body. paula may also integrate elements of CBT, ACT and solution-focused work when helpful and you can share more about what approach you may be seeking in your first initial consultation.

paula is a proud mama of two fluffy maine coon siblings, and is happiest in cozy & quiet spaces. paula enjoys gardening and cooking meals, in particular with the vegetables she’s grown herself! creating meals and sharing with others is really important to paula, and feels like a grounding practice of balance and presence.

paula is currently accepting clients to the intern waitlist and provides virtual counselling at 35/session beginning January 2026.
